The District Informatics Officers (DIOs) for whom the User-ID passwords would be created by the respective State Informatics Officers (SIOs) can access the website for reporting the progress in their districts for activities (a) to (e) above. Whenever any of the activities is updated, that day’s date will also be recorded by the DIOs. Therefore, the website shows the progress not on weekly/fortnightly basis but on a particular date when the website was last updated.
The website can be accessed by the SIOs/Survey Coordinators. The User-ID passwords for the SIOs have been created which can be changed by them. The SIOs will also create User-ID passwords for all the DIOs in their States. For any changes in the districts names please send an e-mail to TD (A.K. Jain). The SIOs can record the progress of activities from (d) to (g). They can also update/record the activities (a) to (e) in case the DIO of a particular district is not able to update the website for any reasons.
The website can be accessed by NCERT or NIC Headquarters for viewing the progress of different activities. These officers would have no control for recording/updating information in the website. The DIO can view the progress of his district alone whereas the SIO can view the progress of the whole State in a tabular form created at the district level.
To view the status, colour combinations have been used. Dark colour in a box shows that the activity has been completed. Light colour in a box shows that the activity is incomplete. The percentage figure appears in the box to indicate the percentage completion of activity in the district. The percentages have been calculated on the total records for that activity. The white colour shows that the activity has not yet been taken up. A zero with white colour shows that the information has not even been entered for that activity. Any figure other than zero indicates the number of forms for that activity in a district.
Further, the dark colour in a box signifies completion of this activity and all corresponding previous activities. The partial progress of any activity is not reported untill the completion of its corresponding previous activity.
In case of activities a) and b) the white colour shows that the activity hasn’t been completed and the reason is recorded as to why the activity couldn’t be completed.
While showing the progress of various activities, the data against each district indicates the last date on which updation was done to the website in that particular district. For viewing the full status of a district, the name of the district can be clicked on the website.
Sample data has been entered for A&N Islands and a few district of Himachal Pradesh. The DIOs and SIOs can view these States on the website and give their feedback to improve it. For suggestions the mail can be sent to TD(Mr. A.K. Jain) at akjain@hub.nic.in
NIC officers in the States and Districts would be updating the website as per information available from the District/State Survey Officers, without any verification. Therefore, NIC is not responsible for its contents.
